Ok, my name is Peter, my username relates to my interest in meditation. Im a Dr (psychologist) working primarily in the mental health anti discrimination field. I promise not to analyse you! (smile) I live in Norfolk, near the coast. My work takes is throughout the east of England. Im divorced ( phew) I have a boxer dog, Jack (I got custody!) He comes most everywhere with me and when Im working he sleeps mostly in my Saab. I have two grown up sons and many friends. I value and appreciate family life although I live on my own and come from a tiny family. Im 6''1" tall and about 17stone, my eyes are blue and I have very short hair. Im told my best features are my voice, my eyes and my smile (grin) Friends tell me, I am kind, gentle, generous, funny and compassionate. They also tease me and tell me that I think too deeply about some things. I can tell you, Im impatient, impulsive, too generous and capable of getting seriously upset if I feel I, or others have been treated unfairly. I know that Im far from perfect. I can, and do laugh at myself! I love reading, particularly psychological thrillers but I also like books on philosophy and spirituality. Im a published author but only in my professional field. My real love is writing poetry, but unfortunately have not been published. I keep myself fit at my local gym, I scuba dive, I enjoy my PC, and things like walking my dog, eating out and the theatre. Finally, I am an unashamed romantic, and not just because it releases neurotransmitters that make me feel good. Although I have been married and had a few girlfriends, but Im not sure if Ive ever really been in love. I feel love goes way beyond physical and emotional infatuation. Yes physical attraction is important, but equally necessary, love needs to be all consuming and include the mental and spiritual, if its to stay the distance. I beleive true intimacy is the opening of one soul to another. No gift on earth could compare with it, for it touches us more profoundly than our imagination can envision.
